FTA1800 (MarkIII+)

The Firetrol FTA1800 MarkIII+ Fire Pump Controller is an autotransformer reduced-voltage electric fire pump controller designed to control and protect motor-driven fire pumps used in fire protection systems. The controller automatically starts the fire pump when a drop in system pressure is detected and ensures continuous pump operation during fire emergencies.

The controller operates on the Mark III+ microprocessor platform, featuring a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen interface that allows operators to monitor system pressure, electrical parameters, alarms, and controller diagnostics in real time. It also provides event logging, automated testing functions, and communication capabilities for integration with building management systems.

Using an autotransformer reduced-voltage starting method, the motor initially starts at a lower voltage tap (typically 50%, 65%, or 80%), which significantly reduces starting current and mechanical stress on the motor and electrical system. The controller then transitions to full-voltage operation after the motor reaches the proper speed.

Designed with heavy-duty industrial components and built to meet major fire protection standards, the FTA1800 controller is commonly used in large commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and high-capacity fire pump installations where electrical systems require controlled motor starting.
