Kitz Butterfly Valve

The Kitz Butterfly Valve is a quarter-turn rotary valve that uses a disc mounted on a rotating shaft to control fluid flow in large-diameter pipelines, offering a compact, lightweight, and cost-effective alternative to gate and globe valves for high-volume flow applications. Manufactured to rigorous JIS, ANSI, and international standards, Kitz butterfly valves are available in three distinct design configurations to suit a wide range of pressure, temperature, and media requirements. The Concentric (Centric) Design features a centered disc and rubber seat lining, providing reliable on/off and throttling control for water supply, HVAC, cooling systems, and general industrial fluid control at low to medium pressures — available in aluminum and ductile iron body construction for lightweight and heavy-duty installations respectively. The Double Offset Design eliminates continuous disc-to-seat contact during operation, significantly reducing seat wear and operating torque, making it suitable for higher pressure and temperature applications in water treatment, fire protection, and industrial process systems. The Triple Offset Design features a fully metal-to-metal seating arrangement that provides absolute bubble-tight shutoff with zero seat wear, engineered for the most demanding high-pressure, high-temperature applications in oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, and steam systems — available in stainless steel construction for maximum corrosion resistance and durability. All variants are available in wafer type (clamped between flanges) and lug type (independently bolted to each flange for dead-end service) configurations, across sizes from DN50 to DN600, with EPDM, NBR, or metal seat options depending on the design and media requirements. Compatible with manual lever, gear operator, pneumatic actuator, and electric actuator operation for automated flow control applications.
