The Bosch AVENAR 4000 Multi-Sensor Detector combines optical smoke and heat sensing technologies in a single addressable unit, delivering higher detection accuracy than single-sensor devices while significantly reducing nuisance alarms. Bosch's Intelligent Signal Processing (ISP) algorithm cross-references readings from both sensors simultaneously, distinguishing genuine fire signatures from harmless environmental triggers such as cooking vapors, dust, and steam. Available in Dual Ray variants, which use two different LED wavelengths (infrared and blue) to differentiate smoke particle sizes — allowing even earlier detection of slow-smoldering fires. Each detector connects to the Bosch LSN addressable loop and is individually identifiable, enabling pinpoint location of any alarm event. The integrated short-circuit isolator ensures loop continuity during line faults. Suitable for offices, hotels, data centers, hospitals, and manufacturing facilities requiring EN54-compliant multi-criterion detection as part of a BFP-compliant FDAS system.
